Secondary research was done to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's recent restructuring efforts and the transition from old to new divisions. Through interviews with the management, we delved into a thorough analysis of the various business units, placing a particular emphasis on identifying and defining the diverse user types and groups within the organization. This research served as the foundation for our user-centric design approach, ensuring that our solutions align seamlessly with the evolving needs and dynamics of the company's transformed structure.
We initiated a content audit to gain insights into the current information architecture of the website. This audit helped us assess the organization of content and identify potential areas for improvement. Additionally, we utilized Google Page Analytics to quantitatively analyze user behavior, allowing us to understand how users interact with the website and navigate its pages. By combining these two methodologies, we were able to develop data-driven recommendations for optimizing the user experience and enhancing the website's overall usability.
We employed affinity mapping techniques to analyze data clusters, eliminating redundant and repetitive information. This process was pivotal in refining the information architecture, ensuring a streamlined and efficient user experience.
Cultivating a deep understanding of the project's intricacies, we utilized mind mapping as a strategic tool. This allowed us to visually organize complex ideas, identify key relationships, and uncover patterns, serving as a foundation for streamlined decision-making and informed design choices.
To design the user navigation, we conducted comprehensive card sorting exercises, encompassing both open and closed approaches. By engaging participants withij the organization, we gained valuable insights. This user-driven approach was instrumental in shaping the final navigation structure.
Our focus then shifted to Information Architecture, beginning with the meticulous crafting of the sitemap. This foundational step allowed us to outline the website's structure and hierarchy, ensuring a logical flow of information.
Subsequently, we honed in on the framework, meticulously defining the sections on each page.
